Drilling on the South side of the Strait was finished on March 29th. Twelve borings were drilled for Tower #2 with six borings each for the West and East sides of the tower. Rock coring occured in each of the twelve holes below the overlain soils and Bay mud. The twelve borings were each drilled at the center of the proposed pile locations for the South tower. These piles will provide support for the Bridge structure. Click here for a plan view of the bridge.
